Geometric Construction with Vectors and Polygon Rotation
This GeoGebra example demonstrates a geometric construction based on vectors and dynamic coordinates. Using commands such as Vector, Sequence, and DynamicCoordinates, it builds point sets and vectors, applies Rotate for polygon transformations, and draws geometric figures with Segment and Polygon. Angles α and β are marked using the Angle command. The example showcases integrated applications of vector operations, rotational transformations, polygon construction, and angle relationships. Students can interact with the applet by dragging dynamic points, adjusting parameters, and observing how the geometric figures respond in real time. This hands-on exploration helps learners develop a deeper understanding of how vectors define positions and directions, how rotation transforms shapes while preserving their size and angles, and how multiple geometric objects relate to one another in the plane. The applet is well suited for classroom instruction or self-directed study, providing a visual and interactive way to connect abstract vector and transformation concepts with concrete geometric constructions.
