This example demonstrates the graphical representation of Fourier series. Fourier series is a method of expressing periodic functions as sums of sine and cosine functions. Using the Sequence and Sum commands, different Fourier series with varying terms can be constructed. Suitable for high school and college mathematics courses.

GeoGebra Commands & Parameters

  1. Sequence(n) → l1
  2. Sequence(((-1)^(i + 1) / i * sin((i * x))), i, 1, n) → l2
  3. Sum(Element[l2, i], i, 1, n) → h
  4. Sequence(If[(((2 * i) - 1) * π) < x < (((2 * i) + 1) * π), (x - ((2 * π) * i)) / 2], i, 0, 10) → l3
