Pasta Design - Gigli
Loading the math board and drawing, please wait…
This example demonstrates the design of Gigli, a type of pasta. It involves the geometric construction of equilateral triangles. Using GeoGebra commands Surface and object a, the shape of the pasta can be dynamically adjusted. Suitable for middle school and above students to learn geometric construction and solid geometry.
GeoGebra Commands & Parameters
Surface(((0.8 - (0.6 * sin((j / 80 * π))^(0.5))) * cos((k / 50 * π))) + (0.08 * sin((j / 40 * π))), ((0.8 - (0.6 * sin((j / 80 * π))^(0.5))) * sin((k / 50 * π))) + (0.08 * sin((j / 40 * π))), (1.1 * j / 40) + (0.7 * (1 - sin(((150 - k) / 300 * π)))^(2)), k, 0, 150, j, 0, 40) → a
