Kepler's First Law Demonstration
Loading the math board and drawing, please wait…
This example demonstrates Kepler's first law of planetary motion, which states that all planets orbit the sun in an ellipse with the sun at one of the foci. Key mathematical concepts include the definition and properties of ellipses. Using GeoGebra commands such as Ellipse and Circle, the generation process of the ellipse is dynamically shown. Suitable for high school and above students to learn about planetary motion and ellipse geometry.
