Isosceles Triangle Properties
Loading the math board and drawing, please wait…
This applet guides students to explore two properties of an isosceles triangle through dynamic geometry. By constructing an isosceles triangle, students can observe the property that the altitude, median, and angle bisector from the vertex angle to the base are all the same line. By adjusting the side lengths, students can further verify these important properties. The applet uses GeoGebra commands such as Circle, Point, Segment, Angle, AngularBisector, Intersect, Length, Distance, and Polygon, suitable for middle school and above students.
