Find Missing Terms in a Sequence Using Recursion
Loading the math board and drawing, please wait…
This example demonstrates how to find missing terms such as a5, a6, and a7 in a sequence by using recursion and difference tables. It covers sequences, recursive formulas, first/second/third differences, term index n, and algebraic expressions. The construction uses Find, FirstLook, and Termsseparated to locate and separate terms; a2minusa1, a3minusa2, and a4minusa3 to compute first differences; FirstDiff, SecondDiff, and ThirdDiff to display difference levels; UseFormula, Formula1, Formula2, Aequals, a5Equals, a6Equals, and a7Equals to build recursive equations; MissingTerms, Answer, text1, and text2 to present results; and FormSlide, Useformsmall, and n to control parameters. It is suitable for secondary algebra, introductory sequence lessons, and GeoGebra dynamic demonstrations.
