3D Triangular Prism Construction and Vector Analysis
This GeoGebra applet demonstrates the 3D construction of a triangular prism. Using the Polygon and Prism commands, it builds the base triangle ABC and the top triangle DEF to form a complete prism. The model displays all lateral faces (faceABED, faceBCFE, faceACFD) and the top face (faceDEF), along with all edges (edgeAD, edgeBE, edgeCF, edgeDE, edgeEF, edgeDF). Vector tools are employed to analyze spatial geometric relationships within the prism, such as parallel and perpendicular vector relationships between edges and faces. This interactive applet is well suited for middle and high school solid geometry instruction, helping students visually understand the structural features of a triangular prism, the correspondence between faces and edges, and the basic applications of spatial vectors. Students can manipulate the vertices of the prism and observe how changes affect the vector relationships in real time, deepening their conceptual grasp of 3D geometry.
