This GeoGebra example dynamically demonstrates the reflective property of a parabola: rays emanating from the focus reflect off the parabola parallel to the axis, and parallel incoming rays converge at the focus. Core mathematical concepts include the definition of a parabola, focus and directrix, the law of reflection (angle of incidence equals angle of reflection), and tangent properties. Construction highlights: the Parabola command creates the curve; OrthogonalLine, Tangent, and Mirror generate normals and reflected rays; Ray, Segment, Distance, and Angle measure paths and angles; Sequence and LightRay simulate multiple rays to visualize the reflection pattern. Suitable for high school analytic geometry or college geometry courses, and useful for physics optics demonstrations of reflection principles.
