This GeoGebra example demonstrates how to use matrix determinant and transpose operations to construct and analyze the area and shape changes of a parallelogram under affine transformations. Core mathematical concepts include matrix operations (determinant, transpose), the effect of linear transformations on geometric figures, the relationship between parallelogram area and the absolute value of the determinant, and dynamic control of real parameters. Construction highlights: using GeoGebra commands Determinant and Transpose to compute matrix properties, defining parallelogram vertices via points A1, A2, B1, B2, storing transformation matrices in matrix1, matrix2, matrix3, recording determinant values in d1 and transpose results in t1, and applying matrices to the figure to visualize transformations. Suitable for high school or early college students learning linear algebra and analytic geometry, as well as for teachers demonstrating the intuitive meaning of matrix transformations in class.
