Net of a Pyramid

This example demonstrates the net of a pyramid. Using GeoGebra's Pyramid and Net commands, it constructs a 3D model of a pyramid along with its 2D unfolded faces, including the base and lateral faces. This visualization helps in intuitively understanding the surface unfolding process of polyhedra in solid geometry, as well as the corresponding relationships between faces, edges, and vertices before and after unfolding. Students can observe how each triangular lateral face connects to the base polygon and to adjacent lateral faces in the flat net, reinforcing their spatial reasoning skills. The applet is designed for classroom instruction and self-study in solid geometry, allowing learners to explore how three-dimensional shapes relate to their two-dimensional representations and to develop a deeper understanding of polyhedral surface area calculations.
